The UConn Huskies and the Pitt Panthers have scheduled a home-and-home soccer collection for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, it was announced on Thursday.
Within the first recreation of the collection, UConn will journey to tackle Pitt at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2027. The next season, the Huskies will host the Panthers at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Area in East Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2028.
UConn and Pitt first met on the gridiron in 2004 and have performed 9 video games total. Of their most up-to-date matchup in 2012 in East Hartford, the Huskies defeated the Panthers 24-17 to take a one-game lead within the total collection, 5-4.
UConn, presently a Soccer Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Unbiased, now has 10 video games scheduled for the 2027 season and eight for the 2028 season. Different opponents in 2027 embrace Temple, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Outdated Dominion, FIU, UMass, Syracuse, Liberty, and Military. In 2028, UConn can be slated to face USF, Wake Forest, Buffalo, Temple, Rice, Military, and Ole Miss.
The Pitt Panthers now have two introduced non-conference opponents for each the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Pitt is slated to host the Wisconsin Badgers in 2027 and the Notre Dame Combating Irish in 2028.
