The Delaware Blue Hens will transfer up from the Soccer Championship Subdivision (FCS) and be part of Convention USA in 2025, in accordance with a report from Brett McMurphy of The Motion Community.

As McMurphy notes, the transfer as much as the Soccer Bowl Subdivision (FBS) from the FCS will value the Blue Hens a $5 million software price, which was beforehand solely $5,000 underneath NCAA bylaws.
Delaware has been a member of the Coastal Athletic Affiliation (CAA; previously often called Colonial Athletic Affiliation) because the 2007 season. Previous to becoming a member of the CAA, the Blue Hens competed within the Atlantic 10 Convention from 1997 via 2006.
Delaware completed the 2023 regular-season 8-3 general and 6-2 in CAA play. The Blue Hens obtained an at-large bid to the 2023 FCS Playoffs and defeated the Lafayette Leopards at residence within the first spherical, 36-34. Subsequent up is a second-round contest on the street on the second-seeded Montana Grizzlies on Saturday, Dec. 2.
With the addition of Delaware in 2025, Convention USA would broaden to 11 members. CUSA at present consists of 9 members: FIU, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Center Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, UTEP, and Western Kentucky.
In 2024, CUSA will broaden to 10 members with the addition of the Kennesaw State Owls from the FCS.
