The UTSA Roadrunners and New Mexico State Aggies have canceled their four-game, home-and-home soccer sequence that was set to start in 2024, FBSchedules.com has realized.
UTSA and New Mexico State have been set to kickoff a four-game sequence on Aug. 31, 2024 on the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Video games have been additionally scheduled to be performed on the Alamodome on Oct. 3, 2026 and at Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces, N.M., on Sept. 20, 2025 and Sept. 22, 2029.
Based on a duplicate of a doc obtained from the College of Texas at San Antonio through a state public data request, New Mexico State has terminated the sequence on account of their transition from a Soccer Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Unbiased to a member of Convention USA.
Per the doc, New Mexico State pays UTSA a one-time cancellation price of $500,000.
New Mexico State and UTSA have solely met as soon as beforehand on the gridiron. The Roadrunners defeated the Aggies 35-14 in that contest in Las Cruces in 2012 when each faculties have been members of the Western Athletic Convention (WAC).
